#86: Legendary Taekwondo Coach Hadi Mostaan Leads Training Camp in Malta
The Malta Taekwondo Association recently hosted a special three-day training camp led by none other than legendary Taekwondo coach Hadi Mostaan. Held at the stunning Salini Resort on the 8th - 10th September, the camp welcomed athletes of all levels — kids, cadets, juniors, and seniors — who trained twice daily in an intensive yet inspiring program.
This was Mostaan’s second visit to Malta, a testament to the growing relationship between the Iranian Taekwondo icon and the Maltese Taekwondo community.
Known worldwide for his tactical brilliance and ability to bring out the best in his athletes, Mostaan’s presence created a unique opportunity for Maltese practitioners to experience world-class training firsthand.
Hadi Mostaan is best known for his remarkable achievements in the Iranian National Team, one of the most successful teams in the sport’s history. Iran has a long history of producing World and Olympic medalists, International Champions, and Asian Champions, establishing itself as a global powerhouse in Taekwondo.
During camp, Mostaan blended discipline with innovation, a formula that has consistently delivered results on the biggest stages of international competition. He also delivered talks on how to develop a competitive (and winning) mindset, urging the athletes in attendance to try to achieve their goals with the utmost zeal.
Throughout the camp, Mostaan praised the Maltese athletes for their commitment, discipline, and technical growth. He remarked positively on their potential for international success, highlighting how Malta, though small in size, has the talent and passion to make its mark in European and global Taekwondo.
The Malta Taekwondo Association expressed gratitude for Coach Mostaan’s continued support and shared vision for developing the sport locally. The camp at Salini Resort was more than just a training event — it was a remarkable sporting exchange, where Maltese athletes gained inspiration and invaluable experience from one of Taekwondo’s true legends.
