#102: The B.E.S.T. Project Continues: Educating Coaches to Implement Structured Systems
Following the first educational webinar delivered under the B.E.S.T. Project, the initiative continued with a second online session focusing on the structural foundations required to successfully introduce Taekwondo into schools.
This follow-up webinar was delivered by Ditmir Vodinaj, Maltese National Taekwondo Coach, and was titled:
“How to Educate Coaches in Implementing a System.”
The webinar addressed the importance of structured coach education as a cornerstone of any sustainable school-based sport programme. Particular attention was given to the need for a unified coaching system that ensures quality, safety, and consistency across schools and training environments.
Key topics included coaching methodology, long-term athlete development, alignment with educational values, and the role of continuous coach education in maintaining high standards. The session emphasised that well-trained coaches are essential not only for technical development, but also for delivering Taekwondo as an educational discipline that supports personal growth, inclusion, and respect.
By focusing on systems rather than isolated practices, this webinar reinforced the B.E.S.T. Project’s commitment to long-term impact and professional implementation. It highlighted how investing in coach education strengthens the overall quality of Taekwondo programmes within schools and ensures their sustainability.
This activity once again reflects the core objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme for Sport, promoting cooperation, innovation, and best practices across European sporting organisations. Through continued education and collaboration, the B.E.S.T. Project moves closer to its goal of establishing Taekwondo as a structured and valuable component of school education.
