#103: Malta Taekwondo’s AGM On Friday 27th February - Here’s What You Need To Know

Dear members,

NOTICE is hereby given of the Annual General Meeting of the Malta Taekwondo Association as hereunder. The meeting will be held in English. Maltese communication will be possible with a free translation afforded to those attending, if necessary.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The event will be held at the Salini Resort, Salina on Friday 27th February 2026 starting at 18:00 hours.

PROPOSED AGENDA (not necessarily in order):

• Approval of minutes for the AGM held on 21 February 2025

• Receiving the Accounts for Year ending December 2025.

• President’s Statement.

• Motions to approve bylaws and amend the Statute.

• Election to the post of an Executive Member.

• Matters arising.

• Closure of Meeting.

RESOLUTIONS:

Affiliate members of the MTA are reminded that any resolutions should be made in writing and reach the MTA Secretary by not later than 6th February 2026 at 18:00 hours. The MTA will communicate these resolutions by 7th February 2026. Any amendments to a proposed resolution must be made in writing and reach the MTA Secretary by the 13th February 2026 at 18:00 hours. Any resolutions/amendments require the final approval or otherwise of World Taekwondo.

ELECTION FOR THE POST OF EXECUTIVE MEMBER:

Elections will be held to fill in the vacant post for the position of an Executive Committee Member of the MTA. An affiliate member wishing to contest the position, should do so to the MTA’s General Secretary on the form provided by 13th February 2026 at 18:00 hours. The application should be proposed by an affiliate member and seconded by another affiliate member.

The application should include:

1. A curriculum vitae declaring any conflict(s) of interest.

2. A declaration as per Appendix D that meets the provision of article 9.9 of the MTA Statute.

3. A current police conduct certificate.

4. The final notice of business will be communicated by 20th February 2026.

Please note that only those affiliate members of the MTA who would have renewed their membership registration and settled their affiliation fees by 12th February 2026 would be able to attend and vote at the AGM.

Renewal of Memberships for 2026

Since the start of the new year, the MTA membership fees have been due.

All members require an active membership with the MTA, who are practicing taekwondo in Malta (this is necessary for gradings, events, competitions, ETC).

All members, kindly transfer the relevant fees to the following bank details (MTA):

1. For members < 12 years (EUR 15)
