#84: Statement from the MTA Concerning Olympic Day Incident

Statement from the Malta Taekwondo Association

The Malta Taekwondo Association wishes to inform that, following an incident during Olympic Day, a Disciplinary Board was promptly established to thoroughly investigate the matter.

We further wish to confirm that the parent of the minor involved has exercised their right to open an appeal.

Until the appeal process is finalised, the athlete in question will not be permitted to participate in any Malta Taekwondo Association events.

At this time, the Association is actively seeking legal advice to ensure that all procedures are conducted fairly and in accordance with the rules and regulations governing our sport.

We remain committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and sportsmanship within the Taekwondo community.
